My Story

Jennifer Colton is an experienced businesswoman, with over three decades as an entrepreneur.  She has successfully built companies from creative conception, implementing process procedure, bookkeeping, developing brand identity,  marketing, procuring clients and solidifying sales. Within her business circle she is known to have high integrity and an extremely keen eye for detail. 

 

Presently, she is a Principle of Huffine Global Solutions, Inc. (HGS), as well as their Chief Image Officer (CIO). As CIO, Jennifer oversees  all aspects of brand image and reputation, internally and externally for Huffine Global Solutions. She plays a critical roll in shaping and maintaining  public relationships of our company, products, and services. Jennifer at times, travels with HGS team, to meet with high-level members of countries, business partners and is actively involved in events hosted, building relationships with local community and assiting with various new projects aligned with HGS vision and goals.

 

Concurrently, she is also sole Owner & President of JAZ Print & Promo, Limited, a 100% woman owned print and marketing brokerage in Boulder, CO. In the recent past, she was majority owner of Big Medicine Ranch, LLC & Big Medicine Coffee in Ellsworth, MI. Big Medicine Ranch was an organic farm specializing in heirloom & heritage vegetables, fruits & alliums. Produce was sold to local communities, grocery stores and 5 star restaurants. Big Medicine Coffee was sourced from single origin organic farms from around the world, roasted at the farm & sold locally as well as online. 

 

With passionate vision and a drive to grow strong communities, she also has given time to NGO organizations. She was on the Board of Directors for Business for Social Responsibility (BSR/CO chapter) for 3 years and was founding member of Colorado P3: People, Planet Profit, with former BSR members. She sat on the Board of Directors as the Marketing Committee Chair for another 2 years. Both of these NGO’s organizations' missions was to promote ethical business growth in Colorado, recognizing that business profitability and social responsibility are equal and inseparably connected. As a group they scheduled & implemented educational, advocacy & service project events monthly & quarterly, such as events with owners of Ben & Jerry’s & Toms of Maine along with service projects to build horse shelters for local equine ranches. Jennifer was also one of the Founders of Colorado Community of Mindful Living & Mountain Stream Sangha, to which she grew the community to one of the largest groups supporting Thich Nhat Hanh in the United States. For over 10 years she organized many public events hosting over 2,800 people, at the Buell Theater in Denver CO as well as multi week retreats, hosting 200- 1,000 attendees.

 

Jennifer’s varied background ranges in diversity from private business with NGO’s, agriculture, large marketing events and health and wellness. She has studied at the University of New Hampshire, Naropa University and Rocky Mountain Center for Botanical Studies. She is a certified herbalist, specializing in plant medicine and oil & tincture manufacturing.
